The ‘India Heritage Summit & Awards 2022’ is being held to honour and celebrate the rich heritage of India, which includes all of our inherited customs, structures, artefacts, and cultural practises.

As society, culture, and memory evolve, heritage is cherished at all phases. Through the summit and awards, we want to promote attention, awareness, and celebration of our legacy.

This “India Heritage Summit & Awards 2022” is a joint partnership initiative of BW Businessworld and “India City Walks” (unit of City Explorers Pvt Ltd) to recognise heritage assets in a way that celebrates India. Its main emphasis is on the "cultural legacy" fabric that has not yet received recognition. The objective is to highlight distinctive legacies and unique narratives, share the accounts of various but inclusive heritage activities, and address the innovative, creative, and expanding aspects of the heritage sector.

The "India Heritage Summit & Awards 2022" will be a first for the nation. It covers all industries and people who have had some connection to "legacy," either directly or indirectly.

By recognising heritage as a "broad notion" that includes both the natural and cultural settings, we want to make a difference and highlight its importance. A feeling of communal identity, a sense of our shared history, a sense of place, and a sense of belonging are all opportunities that arise from the integration of heritage resources into the dynamic urban fabric.
