STIR as an organisation that promotes and propagates design and its affiliated fields in India and across the world. Its mission is defined to foster creativity and innovation in the field of design, architecture and interactive art.
Through a series of platforms, STIR facilitates the exchange of ideas, enables collaborations, showcases trends and technology, and creates a collective of enthusiasts from different streams of design.
In 2015, STIR launched mondo*arcindia, a design-centric publication that has become the country’s fasted growing design journal. It has garnered acclaim as ‘the well-read design magazine’ and enjoys an unmatched reputation.
STIR is soon to introduce a new set of content generating initiatives that will offer the creative community an arena through which they can reach out to a much larger audience of design enthusiasts, consumers, next-generation creators and thinkers, internationally. Through on-ground, print and digital projects, STIR aims to become the bridge for local and global creative expertise and explorations.

Established in 1961, the National Institute of Design, India is internationally acclaimed multi-disciplinary institution of design education and research, under the aegis of Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Government of India.
It is declared as an Institution of National Importance by the Act of Parliament, in 2014. It has three campuses in the cities of Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Gandhinagar and mentoring four new NIDs being set up by the Government of India.
It offers Bachelor of Design programmes in eight disciplines and Masters of Design programmes in twenty disciplines. The works of NID students and graduates is recognised and appreciated across the world and they regularly win prestigious awards and accolades worldwide.
