In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, the ability to adapt, grow, and innovate is paramount. It is through the relentless dedication and visionary work of the Learning and Development (L&D) professionals and teams that organisations cultivate the skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary to not just navigate change, but to lead it.
BW People presents the 2nd Edition of L&D Excellence Awards for elevating the entire L&D profession, benefiting individuals, teams, organisations, and the HR industry at large. In essence, BW People L&D Excellence Awards serve as a powerful catalyst for growth, recognition, and continuous improvement within the learning ecosystem.
Through these awards BW People intends to shine a spotlight on the critical role L&D plays in building future-ready workforces and driving organisational success. These awards are the epitome of recognition for contribution and success in implementation of L&D strategies, new technologies and finding better metrics for measurement of L&D initiatives.

Rules for nomination

L&D professionals with strong record in innovation, outstanding performance, establishing L&D businesses, or engaged in L&D technology, implementation of strategies, creating L&D platforms are welcome.

The nomination form must be filled online by the nominees by the deadline date to be able to present the work before the eminent Jury.

Incomplete, mis-leading, and in-correct forms are liable to get rejected. Furnishing wrong information may lead to cancellation of nomination.

All the relevant documents need to be submitted at the time of filling the form in the prescribed format only. The organisers are not responsible for any missing information and rejection of form if the nominees fail to submit the supporting documents.

Nomination fee is mandatory for being able to appear before the eminent Jury. Paying the fees does not guarantee an award. The nomination fee is taken for processing the forms and arranging the presentation before the eminent Jury.

The nomination form needs to be correctly filled before the payment is done. No editing is permissible after the payment is done. Entries without payment are incomplete and are liable to rejection.

A nominee can submit multiple entries as per the diverse areas of work. Multiple nominations can be filled from a single organisation also. Payment is mandatory for each individual nomination.

The documents need to be submitted in the required formats only. The supporting documents should be viewable on multiple browsers and platforms like Mac, Firefox etc. Password protected documents are not taken.

If at any point of time, the eminent Jury wants any additional information for verification or their understanding of the nominee’s work, nominees are required to provide the supporting information, failing which the Jury has the right to reject the nomination.
Jury Process
- After preliminary internal screening of the nominations by the organisers, the nominations are presented before the eminent Jury for fair and thorough evaluation of each nomination.
- The eminent Jury comprises of very senior professionals from the L&D and HR ecosystem. On the date of the final Jury evaluation, through a virtual presentation, the nominees are required to present an elevator pitch before the Jury members.
Key judging parameters
- Clear objective – What challenge is the L&D initiative addressing?
- Innovative approach- What was unique or creative about the solution?
- Agile L&D- How agile and adaptable is the L&D strategy?
- Execution excellence – How well was it designed, developed, and delivered?
- Measurable impact and ROI- What were the tangible results (in numbers) and business benefits (e.g., improved performance, increased sales, reduced errors, higher retention)?
- Scalability and sustainability- Can the initiative be expanded or sustained over time?
- Learner-centricity- How did it truly meet the needs of the learners?
