About the Event

Media and Media Education Summit

As the digital era cascades forward, the world is witnessing changes on an unprecedented scale. Industrial Revolution 4.0 is the upcoming revolution that may change how people work, socialize and educate. Media organizations and Media training institutions face the brunt of adopting the newest and the best strategies in managing all the stakeholders. Media Education, just like the Media industry, is faced with the risk of losing relevance in changing times.

Decentralization of data has cropped up new and unprecedented Ethical challenges. With changing distribution networks, traditional media as an industry is facing grave challenges, while new developments are widening the horizons of media consumption. This also adds new dimensions to media education and the kind of training that would best equip a new-age journalist. The search for new professional and educational paradigms that help in the interpretation and management of this double change is the goal of the said conference.

With panel discussions on topics as wide ranging as “Hiatus between Praxis and Media Education Theory”, “Ethical Challenges in teaching the new forms of journalism”, and “Conflicts between the Fourth and the Fifth Estate”, the first of its kind conference on the future of Media and Media Education will serve as a platform to bring the Media Educators, Media owners, Editors, Journalists and HR Heads on one dais for discussing the current status and future prospects, vision and challenges in Media and Media Education in India.
